Dog Walks & Logistics
-

I’ll arrive within the agreed time-frame to collect your dog.
Please make sure:I can access your property & get to your dog.
Your dog wears an ID-Tag.
tT provide secure harness and non-extendable lead.
Drop-Off
Your dog will return towel-dried and with clean(ish) paws.
I’ll leave them in the house or garden, according to your briefing.
Please note:
Countryside adventures sometimes come with muddy paws. While paws will be towel-dried and cleaned when needed, I cannot guarantee that dogs will return completely clean after walks. If you want me to give your dog a full wash, we can arrange that by booking a Care-Add-On. -
Pick-ups and drop-offs need to run efficiently so that all dogs receive their full, uninterrupted walking time and are picked-up on time.
If you require additional services such as feeding, medication, extensive cleaning or extended time at home, you’re very welcome to book an additional Pet visit or an Care Add-On.
This ensures everything is accounted for and can be done properly and without rushing.
-
No. I provide:
natural single-protein treats
recycled and biodegradable poo bags
If your dog has allergies, dietary requirements or prefers their favourites, you’re very welcome to provide your own.
-
Walkie Pawkies take place in and around Bovey Tracey and all other mentioned Service Areas.
We venture to local woodland, quiet green spaces and carefully selected areas on Dartmoor when suitable.
Occasionally, we head to the beach and mix things up, so there’s a nice compromise between routines and new adventures.
Locations are chosen depending on weather, ground conditions and the pack.
Where it best supports group dynamics or individual training goals, I may hire a secure dog field.
If you want me to take your dogs to secure fields on a regular basis, we can arrange that with Buddy or Smart-Solo/Household-Walks.
-
2–4 dogs at a maximum.
Group size always depends on the dogs' individual temperaments.
I walk 4 dogs at a time where it can be done safely without compromising individual attention.
-
Group walks only work when the dynamic is right. To ensure waggy tails, stress-free walkies and create socialising events your dog looks forward to
I begin withthe information you provide in the booking form
followed by a meet & greet.
This gives me a clear picture of your dog’s temperament, energy level and social skills.
From there
I evaluate which existing pack might suit your dog best
factor in your required time slots.
Once we’ve found a slot I will decide based on your briefing, circumstances and my experience.
They will…
first meet in the car, separated from each other in secure crates with solid dividers
if required, be taken to a secure dog field which is neutral ground for all dogs for the first meeting.
meet-on or off-lead/muzzled or unmuzzled , depending on characters.
be introduced one-by-one or to the whole pack at once.
-
My priority is your dog’s comfort and wellbeing, not filling a space in a pack.
If I feel your dog was happier or safer in a different set-up, I will discuss this with you openly.
Smart Solo Walks or Buddy Walkies are always an option, as well as trying another pack or setting up a slower socialisation process.
-
Yes, the aims are orientation and consistency.
We discuss recall reliability, off-lead consent and any specific commands or cues you use.
Your dog is handled in a way that respects your training and maintains the standards you’ve set at home.
For specific support, practice sessions or dogs with strong anxiety and reactivity, I recommend to start with Smart Solo Walkies.
Those are great practice and support forming a strong bond between your dog and me — the perfect foundation for becoming long-term-walkie-pals.
-
Depends.
They will be walked off-lead if …
you confirm a reliable recall.
provide your explicit consent.
it is safe and appropriate.
If there is any doubt, dogs remain on lead or on a long line.
-
Unneutered dogs are welcome.
However, if behaviour becomes disruptive or unsafe within a group setting, I may suggest Smart Solo Walkies or Buddy Walkies instead.
Female dogs in season
They cannot join Pack Walkies for the duration of their cycle, unless the pack dynamic explicitly allows for it.
Please do inform me beforehand when your dog is in season.
Depending on the circumstances ay my availability, I might still be able to support you during that time with:
Smart Solo Walks
Household Walks
Buddy Walks
Pet visits
Please let me know as early as possible so we can make suitable arrangements.

During severe weather, including storms, high winds, flooding, snow or icy conditions, Walkie Pawkies reserves the right to shorten, postpone or cancel services where driving or walking is considered unsafe.
Owners will be informed as soon as reasonably possible if changes to a service are necessary.

Pack Walks
During pack walks, dogs will naturally interact, play and communicate with one another.
Whilst I carefully match dogs and supervise walks at all times, minor scuffles or accidental scratches can occasionally occur as part of normal dog interaction.
